Frightening familiar
This week’s dreams captured the eerie and uncanny vibes of Halloween, blending everyday settings with unsettling twists.
Familiar spaces like kitchens, schools, and gymnasiums transformed into sites of dread, where normalcy gave way to surreal and sinister events. One dreamer encountered a strange spreading darkness in an all-white room, while another was caught in an ominous, dimly lit gymnasium, unable to escape.
The dreams seemed to reflect the lingering tension of the season, where the line between the ordinary and the otherworldly becomes blurred.
I am inside a very Americana-styled home, sitting at the kitchen table with my grandmother and mother. My grandmother places her tea in the microwave to heat it, but she leaves the spoon inside. The microwave somehow turns on by itself, and we are all trapped as it starts cooking us alive. I can’t move—only feel the unbearable pressure in my skull, ready to burst. Then I wake up.
