Roadside reveries

This week’s dreams carried us far and wide, weaving together themes of travel and the unexpected encounters along the way.

From road trips with family to surreal moments in abandoned barns, the open road became a canvas for exploration, both literal and symbolic. Vehicles—cars, buses, and even pickup trucks—appeared repeatedly, suggesting a collective focus on movement, transition, and perhaps the desire for escape or change.

One standout dream involved a quiet roadside stop during a family trip, where a simple encounter with an empty diner sparked a deep sense of nostalgia and longing.

It seems that, collectively, our dreams have been hitting the metaphorical highway, reflecting on where they've been and where they're headed.

I am on a road trip with my family, and we stop at a diner that looks straight out of the 1950s. Everything is empty and quiet, but the jukebox suddenly starts playing on its own. The song is one I don’t recognize but feels deeply familiar. It’s haunting but beautiful.
