Big cats, especially lions, increased over the last seven days. They were statues on the Empire State Building, and demons in disguise. But mostly, just aggressive wild animals.
The fringes of our families turned up. Cousins not siblings. Aunts not mothers. One of my mom’s old boyfriends, not my dad.
